Black Girl Magic: Exploring the Lived Experiences of Black girls and women is a 5-part workshop series intended to encourage community and conversation among Black girls and womxn to explore culturally specific lived experiences related to identity, professional development, social justice, interpersonal relationships, and wellbeing. This series can be adapted to various age cohorts.
This workshop explores the components of allyship and advocacy while exploring practical methods to notice burnout and implement wellness strategies.
Providing Outreach and Inspiration through Sisterhood and Education (P.O.I.S.E) is a culturally-informed program developed for Black adolescent girls to explore facets of self-image through group work. We discuss the impact of social media, relationships, and identity factors on self-image. The program utilizes peer-to-peer education, mentorship, and process groups to encourage compassion, critical thinking, connectedness, skill building, psychoeducation, and confidence (key components of SEL programs). The P.O.I.S.E. program can be adapted for elementary, middle, and high school cohorts.

Program and curriculum development is available to help organizations feel better equipped to navigate culturally specific experiences. This service can be offered as an additive to a training course. This service is designed to empower organizations to consult the curriculum developed and apply the knowledge they learn to “do it yourself”. Program development and curriculum development are offered as a package service.
Current program development includes a culturally informed body image and self-esteem program for adolescent Black girls. Culturally-adapted curriculum is also offered with this program.

I offer consultation services to organizations who work with and/or directly serve Black womxn and girls. Consultation services allows for the company/organization (the client) to seek advice from me (the consultant) regarding various areas of growth and change. Some areas of consultation may include (but not limited to): grief in the workplace; maintaining wellness & managing burnout; suicide prevention; and self-care & advocacy. I have worked with teams on program development; curriculum development; and facilitated workshops and trainings for professional development.
Standard Consultation Packages include the following:
an initial phone consultation to discuss preliminary needs and goals; discuss goodness of fit between client and consultant
an intake interview for me to complete a thorough needs assessment; identify project goals & timeline; and discsus corresponding services
a project proposal is developed and sent to client for review
progress meetings are scheduled at an agreed upon frequency of client and consultant. Project deliverables are also discussed and included in the proposal.
closing meeting is held to review final product and complete assessment of process. Evaluations are included throughout the timeline at a rate discussed by client/consultant.
